Topshop - Airplane

Dusky blue creme

Last in the current run of TopShop polishes is Airplane...

Airplane is a slightly dusky, muted blue creme.  I really like this colour.

This is a perfect polish if you want to make a statement but are short on time, it's a one-coat wonder and super shiny!

So far all the Topshop polishes I've tried have been great - count me impressed

Anyone agree? or did I just get lucky?

Top Shop - Paint it On

Dark pink creme/jelly

Paint it On is a dark pink creme that leans a little plum and fancies itself as a bit jellyish

Those distinct jelly tendencies mean it's super glossy and slightly sheer after two coats.

Swatch is 2 coats with no top coat

Top Shop - Daredevil

Plum toned purple with fine pinky gold shimmer

I had another nail break over the weekend, just as my nails were getting long enough to swatch with - grrgghh.

But, worry not, I still have a huge stash of previous swatch pics to share...!

Daredevil is another great TopShop polish - a plum shimmer with a fine, almost foily, shimmer in a pinky gold colour.

The shimmer is subtle but still visible in normal light.

Swatch is 2 coats with no top coat

Nails Inc - Waterloo Place

Pink jelly with foily shimmer

Waterloo Place is a pink jelly with masses of shimmer, only the shimmer is foily.  An uncommon combination, there's certainly been a mass of foil shimmer polishes over the past few years, but not so many in a jelly base.

Swatch shown 2 coats with no top coat.  There is still some slight VNL due to that jelly base but I'm prepared to overlook that for the prettiness!

Leighton Denny - Captivated

Mid blue creme

This is Captivated by Leighton Denny -  my description says navy leaning blue creme, which it is,  but that seems a rather bland description for this glorious polish.

It's super opaque but not quite one a one-coat-wonder.  It seems to have depth and a solidness to the colour despite being just a creme if that makes sense.

I liked it a lot.  I didn't like the slight smurf fingers on removal.  Oh well, you can't have everything...

P2 Color Victim - Night Out

Greyed purple blue creme

Night Out is a gorgeous greyed blue creme with a hint of purple.  I love this colour, I need a suit in this colour or a skirt at least!

Swatch shown is 2 coats with no top coat and like the previous P2 it's super shiny.

Application was good, brush good.  Nothing bad to say about this polish, other than it's not available in the UK - boo.

Nails Inc - Harrington Road

Deep green shimmer

Sorry for the gap in posting, I've been away on a family holiday with the lovely man and the kids.  A fun, but not very relaxing, week in Center Parcs, Elveden.

And everything was so rushed before the hols (isn't it always?!) that I didn't have time to create any scheduled posts - bad blogger...

To ease me back into this blogging lark, here's a lovely green polish from my favourite brand, nails inc

Harrington Road is a deep green with lots of nicely visible micro sparkly shimmer.  I was debating whether to describe it as shimmer or glitter but either way, it's fine and you can see the individual particles.  Don't think it's massively unique but lovely all the same.

Application was great, I do find nails inc don't quite nail shimmers in the same way they do cremes but nothing to complain about here.

The swatch is 2 coats with no top coat and this is pretty shiny without top coat, not always true for a shimmer...

P2 - Good Luck

Greyed green creme

P2 Color Victim in Good Luck

Good Luck is a greyed green creme - in the same colour family as RBL Diddy Mow and  Essie Sew Psyched but darker and with no shimmer.  It is madly shiny though, I've found a number of P2's have this amazing shine.

Swatch shown is 2 coats, no top coat, despite the shininess

Application and brush were good

P2 is a brand available in Europe, but not the UK sadly.  I picked this one up in Germany last year.

Mavala - Smoky Blue

Greyed mid blue with shimmer

My nails are still not back to swatching length, but no worries I have sooooo many swatch pics stockpiled!

Here's one from 2011, Mavala Smoky Blue

Smoky Blue is unsurprisingly a slightly greyed, smoky, blue but that also has a fine blue shimmer

Swatches shown are 2 coats, no top coat.

Unfortunately the shimmer is not massively visible on nail, slightly more visible in the sun shot but it does still add a bit of interest to the colour.

I love this colour, it's definitely in the Air Force blue family.

Mavala bottles are a tiny 5ml and usually retail for around £5.  Personally I don't have an issue with the tiny bottle or tiny brush - but then I have tiny hands & nails!
