Filthy Gorgeous - TuTu Much

Hot pink creme

This polish came to me via a recent(ish) She Said Beauty Box.  I hadn't tried a Filthy Gorgeous polish before and didn't know much about the brand.

Swatch shown is 3 coats with no top coat.  Application was good, the finish has a hint of jelly so you can still see a little VNL in these shots.

It's a pretty, slightly muted pink/coral colour but nothing super special

The bottles are 10ml and retail for £9 which is pretty steep in my book!

Filthy Gorgeous is a relatively new brand of nail polish - I've only ever seen them in Debenhams (UK department store) so not sure what their distribution model is.

According to their website, Filthy Gorgeous London  they have a salon in London and also sell via their website - where they also sell OCC Liptars...

Models Own - Purple Poppy

Pink toned purple creme

Not much to say about this, it's a somewhat unusual mid pinky toned purple creme.

Swatch show is 2 coats, with no top coat - and it's super shiny!

Application was fabulous, one of those Models Own that totally belie their low price.

I've been having a few problems with FF and Chrome reporting malware on this site - pretty sure it's all coming from links in my blogroll so I'm removing them as I get notified - but let me know if you're still getting issues with my site - thanks!

Leighton Denny - Do Me a Flavour

Bright, glossy orange creme

Wowser - Do Me a Flavour is just the brightest, juiciest and most vibrant orange creme.

I love it, even though orange is not really my colour!  This is more a red leaning orange rather than yellow so maybe that's why it doesn't look too bad.

Swatch is 2 coats, no top coat, but look how glossy it is!

Application was not quite a good as the recent nails inc oranges I've shown but still great.

IIRC this was one of the shades given away as a cover mount gift with a magazine last year, can't remember which mag though...

Misslyn - Kiwi 551

Green shimmer with gold microglitter

Oooh, isn't this lovely...

Kiwi is a slightly drab, muted green shimmer with fine gold microglitter.

Swatch shown is 2 coats with no top coat.  Like the other Misslyn's this doesn't dry super shiny so would benefit from a nice shiny topcoat.

This is probably my favourite of the Misslyns I own, all 4 of them!  And I don't think I have anything like it.

Misslyn Obsession- 580

Greeny blue shimmer

Another Misslyn, this time a nearly fabulous greenish blue...

Obsession is a deep, slightly greened blue with blue sparkly shimmer

Swatch shown is 2 coats, no top coat.

This could've been so great - you can see it's so pretty in the sunlight but the shimmer is much more elusive than in the bottle which is a big shame.

Not an uncommon problem but if only it looked more like the bottle on the nails it would be so much more gorgeous.  Ah well, confirms the benefit of swatching!

Misslyn - Blue Lights 614

Purple toned blue pearl

Another Misslyn from Germany...

Blue Lights is a slightly purple pearl/frost.

Definitely an unusual finish/colour combination - I don't think I have anything like this in my collection.

Being a pearl it is slightly brushstrokey but nothing too horrific

Swatch shown is 2 coats for depth but it was pretty opaque at one and dried much quicker than the previous Misslyn, Atlantis.

I actually really like this, I know the frosty/pearl finishes don't get a lot of love but this is pretty and a great shade for my colouring.
