The second Speed Dry I chose is Grey Skies
Shade
Slightly more sunny - ok there wasn't much sun around!
Grey Skies is a blue toned darkish grey creme
Another one that's very opaque and nearly a one-coat-wonder, although this is two.

No7 Speed Dry - Poolside Blue
Anyone else like me and can spot those 'new' stickers in Boots at 20 paces?!
I spotted some new colours on the No7 counter (with those handy new stickers) the other day and as Boots had a 3 for 2 I picked three I liked the look of.
First up is Poolside Blue - a glorious saturated mid blue creme

This is 2 coats, but you could probably get away with one if you were careful
Great opacity and brush was fine, it was a little tricky to work with, probably as it's a speed dry, but nothing too terrible.
Any one UK gals else picked up this?

Hema Glitter!
Remember that great purple Hema from the other week?
Well this is it again, topped with a sheer but gorgeous purple Hema glitter
This was two coats over the purple - isn't it sparkly and fab?

Manhattan - 67C
After Tuesday's Manhattan comeback, here's another winner.
Today's is lilac toned grey creme, or is it a grey toned lilac creme?! Either way it's nice.

This is a 2 coats, no topcoat. Again the application was great, coverage was good and it dried pretty quick - although not quick enough for me not to drape my hair in it - sorry!

Manhattan Collection 710G - now with pics!
I nearly didn't buy this - I had picked up a Manhattan on a previous trip to The Netherlands. 77 from the Quick Dry collection. It was shimmery beige with holographic glitter. Looked fab in the bottle, awful on the nails, it never seemed to dry (odd for a quick dry!) and the base was too pigmented for the glitter to show through. One of the few polishes that I'm happy to let go.
That was my only experience of Manhattan so I was somewhat cautious about getting any more but of course couldn't quite resist when I saw them in Germany. And I'm so glad I did!

This has restored my faith in Manhattan! It's a Collection polish, rather than Quick Dry (I have another Quickr Dry to try so will be interesting to see how that one behaves) with the catch name of 710G.
The bottle is unusually shaped, to me it's trying too hard to be modern and ends up a bit 80's/dated looking.
It's a mid/dark blue creme that never looks black. Application was fantastic, so opaque it was almost a one-coater, flowed well onto the nail, no cuticle flood, minimal cleanup, shiny and generally easy to work with.

This is 2 coats with no topcoat.
Love it - anyone else got good experiences with Manhattan polishes or thoughts on that bottle shape?

Giveaway Results!
Sorry, this has taken a little longer than I thought - processing all the entries and additional entries into a spreadsheet was more time consuming than anticipated - but it's all done now!
I ended up with 238 entries and the result from random.org was 191 which according to the spreadsheet was Laura from Sawan. Congratulations to Laura!
Thanks to everyone else who entered and if Laura doesn't respond in 48 hours I'll pick another number.

Hema
This week I'd thought I'd share some of my recent-ish haul from Amsterdam, kicking off with Hema polishes.
Hema is a department store chain in the Netherlands that primarily sells cheap housewares and clothing - they're great stores and there are several just in Amsterdam. They also sell cosmetics including nail polish and of course it would be rude not to pick any up!
So here is the first one which doesn't seem to have a name. This is from the Hema Brilliant range which has Diamond Powder!

Bottle shot in an attempt to show the shimmer/glitter
I don't usually go for pale colours but something in this unusual colour called to me.
I'd describe it as lilac tinged grey/silver shimmer with gold microglitter - which is a weird combination but somehow it still works.
This is 3 coats and I still have some vnl and it looks more lumpy in the pictures than I remember it was IRL.
In my book it's a soft, pretty colour - a hybrid cousin of Zoya Harley?
